Leather jacket alternatives to schott

Yo yo. Been wanting a nice leather jacket for awhile. Unfortunately the only brand I am familiar with is Schott. Is there anything else in this space that I should explore or just go with a second hand schott jacket? Price range probably $500-700

Was looking at Perfecto's and the Cafe racer style but probably more loose than most of the product images I see online

i cannot speak to the brand at large but the jacket i usually wear in waywt is a vintage structure (deadstock at this point) and the build quality is excellent. ebay is showing ones around 100-200 if you're good with secondhand

is this for riding? or just fashion? i feel like thats a tough budget for good leathers and personally i prefer getting leather new and breaking it in myself and having it mold to me, but there are definitely a lot of secondhand options out there

I ride but I would not ride in just a leather jacket tbh I always wear my armored jacket even if it's ugly lol

gotcha. always better to be safe for sure i feel like all saints gets shit on for being a fashion brand but they have jackets in that price range that are pretty nice imo. i have one that i bought maybe 8 or 9 years ago and i love it

Secondhand is a very good place to start, especially vintage. I'd recommend checking some out in person and having your first one be sort of beat up and worn in so you're not worried about babying it, but I can't speak to what's available in your area. Once you integrate it into your wardrobe a bit and start to get a feel for what you like and don't like, then I'd say drop some bills on a better one. I notably did not take this route and went right for high end and I'm still collecting other pieces to try to justify/integrate it with because I bought a leather just to buy a leather.

The PTO shop has some pretty sick vintage ones at the moment.
