5I disabled the intel security patches in the Linux kernel on my Gpd pocket 1 with an atom and it actually runs without over heating and crashing now
CHow did you do that btw? My partner got a little tablet PC w/ atom chip and it may help to make it more usable
5Uh, I installed a custom Linux distro made by someone on the Gpd discord and I helped him make a package to enable the hardware on the pocket 1. He had his own set up to disable the security

5It’s hard to explain that installing this seemed pretty above board. For a distro I could only find on a discord. The guy is some kind of Linux admin and this is his distro he uses for himself and his work

ONot sure it’s actually working. I applied it to my system and my download speeds are about 50% max via ethernet.
CI thought that toggling it off, it removes the limit and toggling it on, it applies the limit
FI miss the era where 4 cores were the golden standard & anything that had more than it had worse type of cores, hence 4-core Intel best
