Cloudflare's WebRTC uses WHIP/WHEP signalling. It's used in a similar manner to how you'd configure an RTMP stream.

Hi. When using Direct Creator Upload with tus, there is one really important thing to keep in mind: tus should be configured to call your backend service/endpoint which returns the tokenized url. Your backend service should call the Stream API and return the tokenized url in the Location header. You should not be passing the videodelivery.net 2 url directly to tus.

Has anyone used Cloudflare Stream and can talk about the experiences, latency, scalability and if it works with older iOS and Android devices? Besides bandwidth and storage cost, are there any other things to consider? Region?

I would like to build a livestream service to stream to mobile and pc end users and am considering Cloudflare Stream among others like AWS IVS.

I heard that Cloudflare Stream Low Latency is still in beta.

Has it improved and is it reliable for production?

Let's say 1000 viewers downstream per video up stream?

If I calculate it right the cost for 1000 viewers, of 1080p, for 2 hours would be rougly 120 USD.

Is that all or are there more hidden costs?

Maybe @Zaid (Cloudflare) can help?

Hi all. I'm trying to understand something about the lifetime of Live Inputs in CF Stream:

I have a use case where creators stream frequently (daily, or even a couple of times per hour).

Is it OK to use a single Live Input per creator for a long time, e.g. a year or a month?
Or should I discourage myself from keeping a live input for a long time?

AFAIU keeping inactive live input does not affect billing.
Assume security is not a problem, I'm ok with rotating keys once a month or so.

edit: if someone is aware of resources describing best practices for this, please share them, I'll be very thankful

If you use Stream then you don't need to worry about loading of the .ts files, Stream scales automatically with many visitors.

I notice you also asked this about R2 this morning - neither of those services are throttled because of ToS, if you see slowdowns on Stream as well as R2 then it's an issue with the visitor's internet, not R2 or Stream.
