I tried the pstate with cpu boost on my Go earlier today and it did not seem to play nice for whatever reason, maybe because it was set to power save by default or whatever but I reverted

From what I know, CPU boost control currently is only important on the ROG Ally, the Ally has a known issue with the CPU eating up excessive resources

Oh it seems to have an impact on the Loki Max, unless something else I'm doing is also improving performance. I had it on balanced performance before and when I moved it to performance mode it was the difference between an unstable 60fps and a rock solid 60fps on more than one game.

unless you explicitly changed your AMD scaling driver, you're most likely on amd-pstate-epp. You don't see an

There are ways to set it via the terminal. It’s in the SimpleDeckyTDP readme. But unless you’re on the Ally it doesn’t seem to help and may hurt. Luckily it’s easy enough to switch back.
