All I had to do was show them Bazzite on my Loki Max. They all complain about windows on handheld constantly so it wasn't a tough sell. All of them also had steam deck at some point.
I work at an IT helpdesk so everyone here is tech savvy enough to understand the benefits of Linux on a handheld. Especially a distro geared towards gaming.
It was exactly this. A few of us still have our steam decks in addition to new handhelds and several still have just the steam deck. The unified experience makes testing and comparing performance much easier.
i always thought reactions were mixed on this, and maybe they are still. always hear about users complaining about games not working or how non-steam games aren't as seamless\
i would single-handedly fund the development of something that's better than any of the garbage you get with gnome/KDE. i've tried them all and really just land back on the steam keyboard since at least that is 1: relatively consistent and 2: has a paste button
Hello all! I just got my framework 16 laptop and I am kicking around the idea of putting Bazzite on it. Anybody know how Bazzite does on it? I know it's very new hardware, so I wouldn't be surprised if it's unknown. So far, Nobara runs great on it (bar a random session crash I got like twice)
Good to know! Again, I've said it before and I'll say it again. I love the vision of Bazzite (ublue in general) and I find both your support and general attitudes one of the primary reasons I want to support and use this OS.
Given the talk of keyboard, have you guys ever considered a version of bazzite using plasma mobile or something? It seems like a phone os would be ideal for these 7 inch screen no keyboard handhelds
