Redoing Wardrobe : Jeans
I am redoing my wardrobe as I lost 55 pounds and need clothes which fit me now. I am starting with jeans and plan to slowly build up. I am looking into Levi’s jeans 512 models. Is there any other brand which I should consider? I don’t like wearing expensive clothes so I wouldn’t want to spend more than 100 on a jeans ideally under 70. Also in Levi’s is 512 the best fitted jeans? I like fitted jeans

When it comes to "best fitted," I think that really comes down to personal preference. In a slim cut I prefer the 511 over the 512 but if you like a tapered leg, go with the 512. From reading some of the other posts, slim or skinny and tapered fits aren't really what's trending so others might probably suggest a different cut like maybe the 501 for a little looser leg. Either way, you can't really beat Levi's for a budget pair of jeans imo, especially if you can get them on sale. Congrats on the weight loss too!
I do like tapered fit personally then one which runs parallel as it looks baggy to me
Both 511 and 512 are pretty off trend if you care about that
"best fit" isn't an objective measurement, it's however you like jeans to fit your body
What’s in trend then?
I do want to try what’s in Trend and see if I like the fit.
Levi’s has so many types it is hard to even understand what is what
Vintage 501s and 550s are pretty popular here in the 'cord
Vintage 501s, 559, 569
I also lost 50 lbs, and needing a new wardrobe was how I got into MFA. I'll tell you exactly what I wish I'd known then. I was excited to wear skinny clothes, but skinny jeans are out, and were always a kinda terrible idea. Get some 501s. They have straight legs, but are not baggy or gigantic. They are just normal, good-looking pants.
And if you find you want bigger pants, that's fine. All in due time.
Orslow 105
his budget is $100
My bad
honestly you might enjoy 550s - there's a little taper in the lower leg but the cut isn't skin tight. i lost a lot of weight and instinctively went towards 511s for a while because i could fit them and (at the time) i saw them as being Fashionable but my tastes changed, and yours may have as well
thrift shops/ebay are gonna be invaluable in terms of finding things especially if you will have any other physical changes (additional weight loss and/or muscle gain)
Is it safe to buy Levi’s jeans from thrift store or eBay?
Yes
When it comes to buying online, I'd always go with ebay over Levi's official website. Levi's sizing on their normal lines is very inconsistent whereas ebay users will often give you the exact measurements for the garment in question
also they're cheaper
