A popular compression library called XZ Utils was recently backdoored by a hacker which compromised Linux distros like Debian, OpenSUSE, Fedora, and Kali. Learn how the liblzma hack happened who is behind it.
wait for it to finish (no progress indicator but you will know when it's done because it will tell you to reboot), reboot, and you now have... i misread this. fixed it. thats how you get on the AMD/Intel image
Yes, I'm using Chiaki4Deck. To be completely honest, I'm not as confident that switching the congestion algorithm has solved the issue completely. I've been making alterations to my local network as well, and while things have gotten better, I've still seen some flares. I've also been swapping between vulkan and vaapi as I think that might be having some effect.
But if you want to give it a shot, you can do sudo sysctl -w net.ipv4.tcp_congestion_control=cubic sudo sysctl -w net.ipv4.tcp_congestion_control=cubic
This is temporary and won't last through a reboot. If you think it helps there are ways to enable it permanently, but I'm not 100% sold yet.
Thanks. Yeah I tried that earlier and it didn't really help. I even had both devices wired so I just assume it's something with either chiaki or the ps5
I’ve experienced similar on my Surface Pro before, like exactly the same, and streaming from Xbox. So, it could be my network. Although in that case it came down to location services in Windows. Every once in a while it would scan for nearby networks or do some where are you thing.
