AI might be wrong here.. but dependeing on which module you´re in and how the ffb is modeled in that module you may have encountered a very realistic behaviour when the weight of the rudders is making them "hang", which would result in what you describe. How does it behave in flight? When you have airspeed and air flowing over the surfaces and pushing them to a more central position?

KI have this same issue in the A-10, and it doesn’t get better with speed…..I know I know! lol. I’ve tried trimming it to centre then saving in settings in configurater but it seems to default to a very far forward stick position in game. Fwiw, most control surfaces are balanced in one form or another so there is no ‘hang” as someone mentioned. If you look at most aircraft, flight controls are neutral.
SThe A-10 stick has like twice as much backward (pitch up) movement as forward. Bind a normal spring joystick and watch the elevators in F2 view. This is correct behavior

KNot the amount of forward stick I need to hold just to fly level it isn’t, and my previous base (Winwing) didn’t require any forward stick force. By that I mean I have to physically push the stick forward the entire time, let go and it will pitch up and stall, and no, trim doesn’t help
NBoth the A-10 and the F-14 have a forward bias to the center position of the stick with FFB. This is probably fine for a desktop joystick like the sidewinder, and results in the forward and rearward travel of the joystick matching the asymmetric travel of the IRL control surfaces... but it does not translate well to a center mounted stick with an extenstion.
Most people have gotten around this by setting up asymmetric axis scaling in configurator with software endstops. This for example will bring your stick closer to physical center in the A10 and implement a software endstop on the forward side that more or less matches the asymmetry of the IRL stick.

P.S. - if you’ve enabled “sticky” spring to try to force your stick into the center position, this will likely be the reason for the constant up elevator and lack of trimming you are seeing.

VHi. Any suggestions on why my VKB adapter is not working? The wiring seems ok, but my VKB blackbox(orange) is blinking red. Tried kg12 and TM a10/f16 grips - no luck, but both work on the base if I flash the blackbox with a correct firmware.
WYou can try verifying the wiring, by plugging the grip on the adapter, and with a multimeter in diode test mode, touching the red probe to GND and testing 3.3V/Signal with a black probe. If it reads

VThe shield wire - should it be connected to anything on the adapter’s end? I can only see 5kOhm between Signal and Gnd on the grip itself, and once I put it on the adapter it becomes ~18kOhm if I check on the connector. The cable looks ok, I also see the +3.3V and some 2.7V on Signal at the adapter if connected to a black box.

2. Screw heads on the adaptor are a bit higher than a surface causing intermittent connection problems. Tightened them down, but maybe I’ll add something under that small pcb to raise it 0.5mm higher.

WEnable the debug grip profile, it should spam data in the debug tab. Check if it's all FFs or not. All FFs would mean adapter is not communicating with the base.

IWeird, I took it off and back on a few times and pressed on it pretty good. Didn't twist the stick since I know that can damage the cable.
WI do test the adapter with my F-16EX, first connections are pretty tight sometimes with the 6 pin connector. I usually wiggle the 6pin plug a little while pushing it down.

IVery strange problem in DCS, FFB works in single player, in MP in all the servers except our squad server, FFB does not work there, another mate with a Rhino, his FFB works, I repaired DCS, Restarted PC and no joy, any ideas?

MAny reason why my joystick is not lighting up? All the button inputs are also showing red on the configurator / not registering. Not sure what that means but yea seems joystick is not connected. plugged in before threading on and should be tight.
