DGod I hope the next AMD graphics cards knock it out of the park and are well priced and performant. I might just sell my 3090 and upgrade if they can't get this all working soon

DNvidia seems to have a firm grasp of the high end GPU market
BAMD GPUs are just bad and dont have good support for features i require, nvidia and intel do
DMy last card was a Radeon VII. It was great having working open source drivers
DBut as an enthusiast I wanted the best card, which at the time was a 3090

Bi really dont care about open sourceiness of drivers, i dont really care about best hardware but i need things like encoders to be actually working
Band AMD doesnt really have a usefull encoder so my next gpu is either intel or nvidia
BI moved to a 7900 GRE and haven't had a single problem (was on 2080)
KI hadn't even heard of the GRE until you mentioned it, looks like a really cool card
D7900 is a downgrade performance wise, so I'm going to at least wait for the next generation to consider buying an upgrade I don't need
Bit is a really great performance/price spot. 16GB RAM, 7900 performance. I paid like $550 for it I think.

Bi care that card has somewhat good performance aka i can play games i like to play at 1080p 60 FPS or at least 30 , and that it has great Encoders and Decoders so my 3060ti works great
DIt's funny back in 2007 with my crossfire x1950 setup, ATI was shit on Linux with their fglrx drivers and Nvidia was the obviously better option

K1: Xwayland fractional scaling (Same as what we have, just not blurry specifically for X11 apps)
K^ this one may need a revert, I suspect it's breaking discord specifically, can't resize the window
K2: Triple Buffering from Ubuntu, way better performance on laptops and low-spec hardware
K3: Nvidia GPU copy fix (Fix for issue that reduces performance on hybrid nvidia laptops on the desktop by half)
