at least for desktop use it’s a night and day difference. Letting the iGPU handle desktop compositing has a lot of benefits. I’d say it works pretty similar to my Rog Ally in terms of desktop experience

if switching works well it might actually be in a better state than in windows, it tended to stuck on the nVidia when exiting games

So switching to X11 has a downside of not being able to disable the touchscreen, on Wayland we have the nice toggle in the UI. Typically in X11 I'll update /usr/share/X11/xorg.conf.d/40-libinput.conf and set the ignore option on the touchscreen
