Voh im pretty sure it recognizes it... my monitor just ceases to function if it's on automatic... and the brightness dims and brightens when on always
AYou can use handheld daemon if you also use it for tdp. There's a desktop ROG app, and there's the powercontrol decky plugin

Asure, if you use handheld daemon for tdp by double tapping the rog button you can set a fan curve that way
