Pit'll be the best christmas gift ever! It really is a total game changer for flight sims, especially with helicopters & warbirds due to the trim.
MYes, I use 15 deg limiter without stick extension, and with extension something around 11 deg is recommended
SJust paid for my Rhino and accessories, about 30 units to go. Finally something I am excited for! I really need this to cope with creeping burn out at lifework. Few question. So how long is warranty and how is it covered? Is it easy to maintain and self repair like my super old Warthog and Cougar (have early serial numbers since their release month/year, both still work). Where to download dims so I can start cutting and drilling already to be ready for its arrival?

Someone else said you can get them to custom order and send the removable headrest so it’s easier to swivel using a VR headset…
Honestly at the cost and the reputation they are worth every penny if you can swing it.

Currently liking the look of the Virpil range of grips and was wondering if the RHINO was compatible with the Virpril grips?

TI thought they were 100% compatible actually.
CI‘m flying helicopters with the Rhino now since a few days! And what I can say is this is just awesome experience. 
I used a TM warthog with a 40cm extension held in place after moving via steering dampers. This was fine as a workaround. Finally I went for Rhino and this is so much better. Force Trim with FFB is excellent!!!

BThe only difference between virpil extensions and thrustmaster ones is the virpil have loose connections with a bit of extra cables so you can rotate the grip as needed...
RHey group, I have a question. I got Brunner MkII FFB pedals to go along with my FFB stick, however I just read on Reddit that DCS doesn’t support two FFB devices. Is that true? I can’t find any other reference to this info, and figured this group would know for sure.
Aprobably not, I don't think any sim has native support for ffb pedals
Athey will need to run off special software, possibly making use of telemetry
Rsigh The fact that the Apache module has a “FFB friendly” trim setting listed for both cyclic and pedals led me to think both are supported.
RWell, I found a workaround for now, if anyone else is in the same boat. I put the joystick in DirectX mode so it can take advantage of native integration, and pedals in manufacturer's software mode/disabled centering force. So now they work like a regular set of pedals without springs and with a damper kit.
SOs the motorless crosswind ffb kit a version so u can add a motor of your choice?
SAnd on the preorder for the with motor option it give 2 motors is that random what u get or can u choose?
BI noticed the other day there is an option in the software for Pot#2 Function which is disabled because I assume there is only 1 physical potentiometer on the standard base. Can a 2nd Pot be added though manually?
TThe DIY version does have a second potentiometer beside the Stop switch.
I haven’t finished my build, nor officially gotten started, but I’ve been studying everything.
If you want the second potentiometer I would stress to ASK @walmis about how or if this would affect or possibly Void your limited warranty.

I would download the specific top plate file from the GitHub and have that printed because it already has the spots for both pots.
Replace your original top plate with the DIY top plate and wire the additional potentiometer.

Then I’d see if the answer was enough for me to consider the upgrade.

MI'm very interested if you don't mind sharing your experience (and pics?) of your setup with the Rhino as a side stick?

CI'll try and remember to get it set up and take pictures. I have it mounted to a monstertech desk mount and basically just position my chair where it sits right there in front of my arm rest. Makes it comfortable and super easy to maneuver. I also have a throw limiter to stop the forward travel. Otherwise in a crash in Il2 my vkb grips trigger hits the mount.
H@Col. Sanders did you have to extend the aluminium profile all the way down to the floor? Hopefully receiving my rhino soon and I have the monster tech table mount. Curious to see if it can hold it. Got a virp cm2, 20mm gooseneck extension and virpil grip right now. Probably half the weight of the rhino.
HAlso I didn’t order a throw limiter. Wondering if that is a bad idea now …
CNope just the long version. It vibrates me whole desk but stays rock solid for me. I do not use an extension as it sits perfect for side mount height for me.
TI believe the 3D printed ones from the kit will work with the official unit.

HNice. I might add something between the table and clamp for some extra rigidity. Planning to place it in a central position. Should work - and I might order a longer profile as well to just plunge it into the floor as well as table. I have to move it around some due to kids playing other games.

When I get to fly I take over the kids rec room and just push the stand right up to the TV but that’s also why I like my stuff to be solid but removable (wing nuts are your friend)

HI might see if my virp gooseneck is viable though. If I mount almost at ground level. Not sure the extension is needed though. Seems the throw is great by default.
