Arch is fun as a newbie linux user imo as it's living by fire. Stuff will break and you'll hablve to learn how to parse wikis and other resources to fix and/or setup your stuff
My fun with Arch was trying to get mdadm + luks2 all setup on arch cross referencing four different wiki pages and then I eventually just did the setup with fedora so I could look at their configs for a "oh, damn, that makes sense" moment
It's pretty nifty from what I can tell. Just basically standard Fedora but with a bunch of stuff preconfigured out of the box to get you going, mainly codecs etc. also the useful af terra repositories the team maintains
The codec stuff is still weird because it wasn't an issue for 20+ years but they're big companies that are big targets and have their lawyer advice. Suse made the same changes but none of the community non-corperate based distros did.
