Mmy tv doesnt have displayport. but from what i can see hdmi 2.1 supports 4k 120hz
MI have a 7900xtx - hdmi 2.1 cable and hdmi 2.1 input. i can change the resolution to 4k 120hz and it runs but when playing demanding games hdmi sound stutters

Hcomplain to the hdmi forum, it is their fault that its max 4k@60hz on linux (at least for amd gpus, intel arc has a dp to hdmi converter chip on their cards)
