AI am doing something wrong. Trying to map the Rhino in IL2 and the game does not react to movements in the stick. any idea?

Nits pretty easy to over-do dampen/friction/inertia and create an oscillation loop. if you post screenshots of your configurator effects and settings tab in #support we can look and see if anything looks suspicious.

SWow just wow. Tried by now Mustang, Flanker, Warthog C, Tomcat, Strike Eagle, Harrier, Fulcrum, Hornet... was expecting how trim works on all planes but still positively surprised how well it is now reflected with default stick settings. I didn't even had to calibrate that thing. I think guys already have done it before shipping it to me. Thx!

Ji did select yes for a new profile , then I did try the Huey to compare ( working ) . Then switch back to the oh6 , close and relaunch telem ffb and « no match «
NCan you post a screenshot? Not sure I understand. If it doesn’t match, you should have the opportunity to add a new profile (the updated script fixes another issue, it doesn’t add a TelemFFB profile).

NFrom the screenshot, it looks like TelemFFB isnt even getting any telemetry (hence the “waiting for data”). Can you look in the TelemFFB log for any errors? If you don’t see any errors there, check the DCS log for errors with the TelemFFB export script.

PI'll start by saying that the Rhino is a multifunctional base and I'll buy it regardless, but I would like to know, in your opinion, to play with the Helos, isn't it better to use a base with dampeners? What improvements could the Rhino give me?

Pbecause almost all shops that sell helos setups use hydraulic dampeners
PI've never tried a helicopter in real life, I don't know what sensations come from cycling and rudders...
Pif I move a cyclic with hydraulic dampeners on both axes the stick remains in its last position without activating any trim

AI think many real helicopters also allow some spring-based movement around that center point (which changes location as you trim)

MI'm not an expert either but my understanding is that most modern helecopters do have cyclic centering system which provides force to return the cycliuc to the current trim centre

Aalso FFB gives you the smoothest, zero-friction damping I've ever experienced
AIt might be that for helicopter use you'd want even more damping resistance that you get now, I haven't tested much, but that's probably just a software thing and the quality of the damping you get with FFB is just fantastic
Ayou can make arguments for heavy springs & dampers for modern jets being the best possible thing out there, but as far as helicopters go, I think the only reason manufacturers offer dampers instead of FFB is because they can't do FFB
Pprobably the rhino can also simulate a very short movement and high resistance for modern jets (not f16)
TMost have also failed to mention that Rhino uses electronics to simulate the hydraulic dampeners. And can be tuned to your liking rather than swapping mechanical components.
Ato get realistic jet fighter levels of force on a stick is a lot to ask from an FFB platform, but then again most of us don't have the kind of setup that could handle that kind of loads anyway, so that's super niche
PRight, I was talking about the Typhoon stick, I saw it in some videos and it seems to be like an hybrid between a FSSB base and a spring gimbal… rhino could probably replicate it with his software
