Valve worked on it alongside AMD specifically for the Deck...only for it to never be implemented on the actual device. 131 fixed it on LCD Decks, but it still doesn't work in SteamOS, only Bazzite. It's meant to be more efficient (so longer battery life) and more reactive.

Cand reason like this is why I am tempted to sell this device and buy a oled steam deck lol
Cwindows 11 which is the only officially supported os is a bad experience on a handheld

Mhonestly I rarely use my Ally since getting an OLED Deck. For traveling I really love it plus the battery life is silly compared to traveling with the Ally
Cthe display on that is VRR but I haven't really noticed a difference or maybe I'm just blind
