honestly the thing that is important to me is not the technical aspect of having two separate distros. it's the cognitive segregation of the tasks of gaming vs working
As long as you make sure to mount the game ssd and tell steam to look at it, then yeah it would be much easier to manage if you didnt feel like reinstalling a game multiple times per os (if you are limited on physical drives you can always put the games on a seperate partition to achieve a similar affect but this will introduce complexity)
@HikariKnight I have created a distrobox container for fedora 37 and installed davinci resolve but when launching it, it says chdir: no such file or directory
@Kyle Gospo i think i figured out what has been causing the "sd card full" issue when they're clearly not full and only 50-70% full after it happened to me again in a reinstall and i played around trying to find the reason. what's happening is the btrfs filesystem not being balanced correctly and the metadata filling up so nothing more can be written. and to do anything with the drive when it fills up, the only way to "fix" it is to attach another btrfs temporary usb drive, add it to the btrfs poll, rebalance, and remove that temporary drive. but then that didn't fully fix it and the problem still happened again later. you can see the unbalanced data with "btrfs fi show" and "btrfs filesystem usage /path/to/drive"
