A friend is installing bazzite and they said they've been stuck at this screen for at least five minutes. She actually killed it bc she assumed it was broken. I've installed Silverblue plenty of times but nothing as gigantic as Bazzite, how long should it be on this screen normally?

i haven't actually used any of the offline isos but when i used the online ones, it could take up to an hour depending on network conditions

read install guide, that portion takes a long time since it is installing the whole system image, once that is done the bar jumps to finished since there is no tracking between "deployment start" and "deployment finished" and we can do nothing about it

I actually still use the online ISO, it technically still works but requires extra steps afterwards. But it is faster to install

I usually just install kinoite and rebase. Then I can watch youtube while bazzite installs in the background
