SHow do people do their gooseneck extensions? Purchased product or DIY? If purchased, any good recommendations for vpc or winwing compatible ones?
TAny Ideas then the update including the Virpil Blackhawk grip will drop?
JI wish they made some cyclic grips as well
SI think the VPC Mongoose is close to a lot of eurocopter cyclics. Other untility choppers have fairly generic cyclic grips
DIn laymen's terms, what do these adapters do? Is it possible to use Virpil sticks with the Rhino? Would I need an adapter like this? Does an adapter already exist?

CYou need adapters for winwing and VKB sticks. TM and Virpil work by default
CI was hoping for a AH-64 Virpil cyclic grip, but doesn‘t seem to happen
PI think I'll try the MaxFlightSim collective, I'll let you know if and how it works

HI can relate, but metal adds weight that eats force feedback and adds heat to the motors. All in all, I don’t really think about it while using it, and I came from a metal thrustmaster warthog grip
HI assume they’re updating the model then. Been out for a while - always always to improve the grips
HVK / Winwing also makes great stuff, I think.
FAs a mcgu user, the only thing id change is move the body back to plastic tbh
FReason i went with it was the other benefits it gave, but coming from the gladiator the mcgu feels cold in the hand

Pthe alpha prime gave me a different feeling, it seemed more solid, with the cm2 I had a better feeling with the grip but the plastic felt like one of those €2 Chinese toys. I'll point out, it's a personal opinion.
TInteresting. I actually like the cold metal of the MCGU. But I agree that it would lead to more work for the motors. Part of the reason I went DIY with the 8604 motors.
BI'm not so sure about the weight argument.
From googling the tm f16 grip is 350 grams, the listed weight for the cm2 is 340grams, I'll chuck mine on a scale when i get home but yeah, I wouldn't worry about weight difference.
For me the virpil costs $50 less and has significantly more buttons to bind giving increased flexibility.

FWell the mcgu has a direct plastic counterpart
BPut my cm2 on the scale now, and it clocks in at 356g.
A350 sounds very low for tm f16 grip
Aif I had to guess I'd say it's something like 3 times the weight of the cm2
Aof the top of my head, winwing f-16 grip and mcgu are soemthing like 600g, Cougar / Warthog are about 1kg

JI think TM f16 grip is about 1kg
AI could just weigh a cougar, but to do that I'd have to find my scale, find batteries for it and then touch a cougar
BCougars tend to be real touchy about their weight as well.

Abasically TM just decided to make them as heavy as possible with minimal structural strength
Awinwing and mcgu are aluminum and they are just about over half the weight of the couthog at about 600g
BNever owned the warthog stick, but did have the throttle.
Not especially impressed as all the weight and heft to it came from the two steel bottom plates and lead weights bolted to them.
Everything else was cheap fragile plastic and glue, lots and lots of glue.

BIts not a bad throttle by any means, but it doesn't compare well when measured up against virpil or even winwing.
Amine has lasted for over a decade so can't complain too much

Abeen checking out what others have to offer and I think they're probably better, but not enough to justify the switch
Athe new hyper taurus might be if it has motors
BI've got an orion 2 and the very first gen virpil throttle, so can't really say i need replacement there.
BBut I would be intrigued to diy one, if I could just get a spot ready where i could some diy.
MEven the super taurus is miles ahead of the TMWH throttle, just good luck getting one these days lol. I'm excited to see what the hyper taurus can do/looks like, but WW software has always sucked ass, so any FFB functionality might be... not great
