this baseboard build I just did is the first time I've had all the simpit hardware hard mounted effectively to its self in all my time flying DCS. I cannot emphasise how great it feels to give a boot full of rudder and not worry about the pedals or seat shifting
Build issue resolved. Updating to latest build b407d4d0 should work well now
** TelemFFB Release **
There is a big refactoring of the code by walmis in this update in an effort to better organize the code. As such, there are some important NOTE's below. So be sure to at least read the first few lines
Several other goodies below that folk's have been waiting for as well.
- Major code refactoring and re-organization of code - NOTE: Users running from python natively will need to re-run the requirements.txt pip install or manually install the "stransi" python library - NOTE: The format of the system settings in the registry has changed, thus you will need to re-configure your TelemFFB system settings. - Distribution structure has been changed. You will again notice some subfolders that contain the compiled python libraries and other supporting files. This was done to aid in reducing false positive malware detection. - New Global "vpconf" profile option - Can set the "startup profile" in system settings to use as a default configurator profile. If the profile was changed by an aircraft and there is no profile defined for the newly loaded aircraft, TelemFFB will re-push the global default - See manual section 4.2.10 - New option to prune log archive zips after a configurable time threshold
IL-2
- Fixed issue where sim constantly sends stale telemetry after crash or in MP map, causing effects to play forever
DCS
- Added basic support and default profile for the F-4E - New "Spring Override" feature to better support popular community mods or other aircraft that do not support FFB - Implements identical functionality to what is traditionally accomplished with "Sticky Spring" and "Hardware Trim" in configurator - Supports force trim and hat/button based trim. - See manual section 4.2.6.2.5 - Add damage effect support for OH-6 and A-4 community mods - Add basic support for F-4E module
DCS/MSFS
- New acceleration vector based "touch down" effect. Creates a sharp forward force on the stick when touching down. The harder you hit, the more force is applied (with configurable limits)
MSFS
- Nosewheel Shimmy effect enhancements: - Fixed effect playing while applying brakes while airborn - Fixed effect playing while stationary on the ground with a headwind - Enhanced nosewheel shimmy so the shake frequency is higher at higher speeds and reduces as speed decreases - Enhanced dynamic simconnect subscription capabilities - A2A Comanche now uses acceleration vector data directly from the AccuSim flight model. This should fix the long-standing "shifting stick position" issue. - Requires latest update from A2A (v1.5.0 or later)
I don´t know why but, mine was put in the queue...#0538 now... Maybe is because the (Backorder) Machined Aluminum Grip Mount Upgrade for Rhino Anodized ... still waiting no problem...
Tomcat pilots of Rhino land, what spring, damper, inertia, friction settings do you have? I had pretty good settings with light damper/onertia/friction for the Apache but it doesn’t seem quite right for the Tomcat around center
It's the grip mount connector, usually its a 3d printed part, not an issue in an of itself, but one careless mishap switching grips and it becomes useless
Ah, sorry to hear that, but another opportunity for me to play my silly trick in the coming days (don't mind the wait and delay, it's gonna be worth it )
And I’ve seen the software update over and over and over so it’s honestly a great feeling to be a user because you just sit back and it gets better and better while you sleep.
I need to get my stick a bit closer to me for optimal comfort so got a z-extension, and was while fiddling with that, and it's naturally being very off balanced, ruined current grip mount.
