right now, i am splitting nvme1 1tb to windows and Bazzite, while leaving nvme2 2TB as my project drive. then there are 2 other moderate size and speed SSDs and a 4TB and 12TB platter drives
one last question before i reinstall.. When during installation, i told it to install OpenTabletDriver, it installed a containerized Arch version, instead of native. Why is that?
Ok, thanks. That part always confuses me. many years back, when trying to move to linux, i had major issues with containerized things not communicating with other things. I assume that is not an issue with Bazzite?
i've been using fedora workstation as a hypervisor since then and i swear to god the amount of times i've had to reinstall because of some STUPID packaging anachronism
Oh, i lied. one more question.. I still cannot wirte to the .conf for nvidia-settings without root persmissions. this always seems very wrong to me.. am i missing something?
this is the reason i want X11 to not be a thing even though i know accessibiliy, most DEs/WMs, Nvidia woes, and other edge case scenarios for creatives rely on it still :(
I used solus for like 4 or 5 years. I loved that distro. It was fast, stable, and well maintained. Everything just worked. But it was limited on packages. After the maintainer uncertainty I moved to arch for the AUR. But if distro box was a thing back then, it would have been prefect
