Can the bigger 86F04 just be exchanged from the smaller motors (from a software and logic board perspective) or do they need software adjustments?

WCan anyone speak to the longevity of the motors? Seems like the fans are kicking on after a few minutes of intense flying, is that to be expected? Looks like the y-motor fan is kicking on as it was over 45 C. Obviously the higher the gain settings, the hotter the motors. But should we be aiming to keep the fans off? Is there a temperature we should target to keep the motors from breaking down?
Afrom what I can tell there is a temp that is dangerous, but it's very high and the motors reducing max power makes it very hard to reach

WBut, I have noticed the fans kicking on during testing. Wasn’t sure if that was to be avoided, very good to know the power draw is reduced to keep the temps in order.
AI did a test with the instant action dogfight in DCS trying to see what happens if you really push the rhin

H@walmis sorry, yet another question: are the motors from your kit, even though they are marked pitch and roll, interchangeable?
Fafaik, as long as you have 2 it wont be a problem to use the pitch motor for roll axis
Fhowever, you cant use 2 pitch motors or 2 roll motors
Fone of those combos might work, the other certainly wont, cant remember which

Fi've heard some people that had only one for ffb pedals needing to flash different firmware onto the motor cause the rhino didnt like the one it had

Aas for winwing stuff; I don't have personal experience, but I think the 16ex should work except for the vibration motor
Anote that there is an adapter you need to get for winwing
Fmy understanding is the program looks for a specific ID on the motor thats connected to it
Fif the ID it needs isnt there it wont work
Fif you have 2 motors it isnt a problem as youll always have X and Y
Fbut if you have only 1, which might be X or Y, only one of which will work
NMotors are encoded as X or Y
Ports on control board are agnostic
Motors can be axis swapped via firmware tool or Configurator software
Joystick must be 1 each X and Y axis
Pedals must be X axis
Collective must be Y axis
Each device must be discrete VPf control board

DCan anybody tell me what is needed to use a Virpil grip with the Rhino? I am in the process of building my Rhino base and would like to purchase a Virpil VPC Constellation Alpha or VPC Constellation ALPHA Prime to go with it. Is the Virpil just a plug and play add on? Do I need special thread adapters? Do I need special circuit boards?

DIf I am not mistaken some other sticks require you to have their base off to the side. Is that not necessary with the Virpil?

E16ex works for sure. I'm using it. I have actually even wondered if the vibration motor works too. I just don't know how to separate rhino and 16ex vibration motor to test it
EBecause it feels to me like the winwing vibration motor is working too

Power supply question: What voltage should i set on my MeanWell LRS-350-24 using the adjustment? Lowest i can set it is 20.6V. Searching the discord i'm reading replies saying a 24V power supply is also fine. How does this affect the recommended Max PSU current setting of 7A? Can i turn it to 24V and get more forces before reaching max psu current?

WI run mine at 22V, but 24V is totally fine. You can increase the max PSU current to the match the PSU
BAlright thanks! What is your max PSU current set to then using 22V? At 20.6V i reach 7A pretty easy, 24V/7A prevents the overload reduction of forces almost completely.
WYou don't need to set the PSU limit that low with that powerful PSU

TThe DIY runs on 20v 9amp so you’re totally safe to run it anywhere around there.
