Is high internet usage expected?

Why does Bazzite use so much bandwidth even for very small updates? Is this expected due to its architecture?
I just had a 4 GB update, just to update SDL2 and fastfetch.

Even though that's not really a problem for me it still seems a bit to much. Is there anything miss configured with my system that i can fix?

PS: only layered package is python-LenovoLegionLinux and base image is bazzite-nvidia:stable

basically every time an update comes out bazzite has to download nearly the whole image from scratch and replace the old one, swapping out your whole os

apparently work on container deltas, which basically allow only the parts that got updated, should have started in may but im not sure
