Is it normal that gparted from an ubuntu live session on a flashdrive takes more than an hour to finish? While it doesnt move at all?

Hyes, resizing partitions can take a long time and once you start it you cannot cancel it without data loss

Hthe longest i had to wait for a massive resize has been 18 hours but that was on a 1TB drive almost a decade ago on a laptop
