DI agree totally but the issue being there's no central list of laptops that work well with Linux that I can point to and secondly I can't expect people to pay for a new laptop just for Linux support.

Athe only feature of hhd that uses a kernel driver is tdp for the ally, and fixing the controllers after sleep
