Ti mean i get it in a way but at the same time, we have homebrew and distrobox containers. i think nix would have stayed if it didn't have conflicts with SELinux

LThat's true, but Brew's repo is pretty limited, and distrobox-export is often wonky. For instance, I can export Zed with no issue from the AUR, but Reaper never shows up.
