unfortunately, some really good apps only release as source code or appimage, and haven't been made into packages in repositories for various reasons. So we're stuck using appimages...
on the real @tulip i think the reason we explicitly kind of support appimage here because bazzite was originally intended for the steam deck, and some applications there use the appimage format, or something like emudeck installs certain emulators as appimage vs flatpak for some reason

also i just remembered a question about distrobox, when you open app in it the distrobox(container) wont shut down by itself right? so it is better to have one or few big distrobox with like tens of app or is it still better to have one app per distrobox?
i mean like is one better than other or is it the same, if i open like five apps from five different distrobox compared to five apps from same distrobox will it like consume more ram,cpu etc
