I cannot boot from my USB stick plugged in the official steam Deck dock. Booting from the stick while it's directly in the Steam Deck works fine, but then I obviously cannot continue due to not having a keyboard.
you asked to see what an ujust does and if you could just use that in a different system, answer is yes for anything that isnt bazzite specific it is all just bash scripts
you can also just install https://just.systems on any distro and use the just source from --show--show on a different system by adding it to ~/.justfile~/.justfile
ujust is just a script to make just run in the bash shell with some specific defaults
steam itself is most likely the bottleneck then, i can get 200MB locally between server and my gaming pcs (more if i move my server out of the basement so its not going over powerline), i can cap my download on steam itself though but i only got a 50mbit line
well no idea what else it can be other than maybe a driver difference in the kernel which i doubt as we usually just have a driver added if it doesnt exist
I was installing Bazzite (KDE) on a friend's computer (Lenovo Yoga 6) which had a fresh Windows install on it prior. After choosing automatic partitioning & choosing to remove all existing partitions and starting the installer, I was immediately greeted with the message 'drive is busy' & the installer failing.
I luckily had a spare Mint ISO with me at the time, so I was able to still get his computer to a functional state, but I wasn't able to figure out why the bazzite installer was failing
I don't believe I touched such a setting, but it's possible. I had spent the past 1.5 hours trying to get wifi working on the laptop (the wifi drivers on Lenovo's website weren't working for some reason)
technically it's faster than regular shutdown/bootup but it leads to so many random issues that i really struggle to understand why do they have it enabled by default
