NI have a zoo. Bazzite on 2 Steam Decks and 1 Rog Ally, Aurora on a X13 G2 that is purely a test machine, Macbook Pro 14 base 2021 16/512 soon to be upgraded to a M3 Max 64/2TB, Gaming PC with Bazzite, a Surface with Windows 11 on it
QI wonder though, would it be possible to set up something like a cache that would update overnight?
QSo like the CI would release a new version of the image, the cache would pull it at midnight and then computers running that image on the local network would update everything from the cached image

CI am just confused because (1/2) this is way overcomplicated and requires multiple machines to be on with multiple network transfers of the same data

Qyes, but the cache would download it over the slow network when nobody cares that the network is busy and then all the computers download the image over a fast local connection
CI could see that being useful for a lab which takes 6 hours to download a 1GB update (45KB/s) and needs to update at least 8 computers on identical images twice per week
CI do not see the benefit over spending ten minutes (or one, with experience) to reschedule automatic updates, and schedule an automatic shutdown after that if preferred
