well yeah there's just a whole bunch of issues with the project, it still requires unit tests, logging is bad, error handling is pretty bad, it feels pretty brittle. There are a couple things we could do to add tests, vendor topgrade, and make things better but it's still kinda ehhh for me. With go everything would be super simple and portable
