Cevery VR headset has basically BFI but it never affects me
RSo for my needs, I needo git glone a repo, then also intall pytorch, and maybe some requirements withing the repo...I can do all that through a distrobox installation and it'l show up in bazzite and be preserved through updates?

R@Kyle Gospo So I figured out how to make and install pytorch to an venv. Do I need to activate that enviroment and deactivate it every time I want to use something within that directory or will it just work?

GBoth PWM dimming and BFI/ULMB use the same fundamental technology, but BFI is much more controlled

GThey work well from what I understand. They use mesa drivers just like AMD

Oit's saying the artifacts are worse in VR, but the displays take specific steps to prevent the artifacts
Kdrivers are built into mesa/kernel just like AMD
Kit's an intel GPU so don't expect the best performance

GThe kind of PWM you find on a Deck OLED/Switch is unsynchronised and thus appears like serrated motion to your eyes, which is likely what's causing your eye strain
GIt would explain why you don't feel eye strain with VR headsets
