GIt's good if you like making a declarative config for your system that sets it up the way you want consistently. But honestly I'd rather use ublue at that point

Vif i ever built a more capable server than just a simple nas that runs some dockers i'd probably try and learn proxmox
GProxmox sounds fun but also overkill for most home server needs
GI use the strategy of reusing old desktop hardware to turn into servers instead of investing into actual server gear
Vunraid's been pretty newbie friendly due to a huge community and extensive documentation at least
GIt's definitely a good option. I just can't get away from it being closed source personally
