Hey guys. I tend to overtake myself sometimes with decisions. So I did here. Apologies;) I will keep offering the kits. Maybe at a reduced pace. Ill let you guys know when a batch will be available.
I was a little concerned in the beginning as well. But actually i think that the Rhino is and will remain the FFB-base that offers the most awesome and sophisticated effects. Looking at the moza software for example there is nothing but very basic FFB effects in place. And one advantage no industrial produced base will be able to offer: Easy and quick reproduction of replacementparts, modability and not to forget "awesomeness".
And over that one should not forget that there already was a bigger player that offered industrial produced base - brunner. And we all know that the Rhino is far superior.
Aye, the easily sourced parts and powerful software options are definitely a plus these new ones are unlikely to match.
But this is also not for everyone, so if they can get a nice 80% experience straight out of the box that will do well. I've even met those who consider the options and software for the virpil devices as to much to handle.
The prediction I'm going to make though is Moza is going to do very well. Simply because they are being sold locally alongside thrustmaster.
TM on the other hand is going to struggle. Especially now that they have competition so far ahead technically being sold right next to them, figuratively speaking.
Hi @walmis, I have ordered a Rhino, Assigned S/N: #1428. Due to the wait time, and after reading the DIY pages I have decided to build 2 FFB setups, one for my stick and one for my rudder pedals. Q1: How do I cancel my reservation order for the Rhino? Q2: I will need 3 motors and 2 control boards. Do you have enough 86BLF03 and 86BLF04 in stock? Thanks in advance
That’s really not bad. I waited 4 months for my whole Virpil setup and at the time I had nothing to use during the wait, now this will just be like a treat when my number comes up.
Since this is just the very first blog post they have for the game I'm sure all sorts of juicy info such as supported hardware and features (such as potential VR, FFB, etc.) will be shared later on
In fact, in 20 days I don't really believe that 50 Rhinos were made, evidently someone gave up on the pre-order and consequently I have reduced the number of specimen they assigned to me, but the matter does not change, my specimen will be produced after another 926 Rhinos , that is, in fact it is the waiting list...
yes ita a wzaiting list but you move up the list as others in front of you cancel as the wait is too long etc so as said some weekss it can jump as many as 50
i kinda feel bad as AVA is finally a decent base, but then again TM has also milked the garbage warthog for this long without making AVA (what warthog should have been), so they probably deserve to fail
I'm conflicted. On one hand I would love to have a rhino as fast as possible. On the other hand having been assigned serial number 911 on flight sim equipment is exactly my kind of dark humor
