Just reporting back after a few days on the DS5 controller Saga....
I manually uncommented the
UserspaceHID=true
UserspaceHID=true
option in the
/etc/bluetooth/input.conf
/etc/bluetooth/input.conf
file to explicitly enable the Userspace driver and after several days and multiple DS5 controllers everything works exactly as expected.
I am very skeptical at this point that the defaults which should be used (Including enabling the UserspaceHID driver) are actually being used. Not sure if Bazzite should make this change part of the image, but for those who are also having issues with DS5 controllers this is a potential solution especially if the symptoms are failure to connect a 2nd time (First connection successful, subsequent connections after power off or disconnect fail) or connects a 2nd time (Lightbar stays solid lit) but inputs are not accepted by the system.
X11 isn't available in the deck images, it was removed when Fedora 40 was released two months ago. Reason being is that KDE isn't supporting X11 anymore and it will fall away completely when Fedora 41 is released
Lmao, valve is silly and used the open file dialog instead of the save file dialog when you want it export a video so you need to overwrite a file in order to get an mp4 out of it
