Also might been a steam update that stops it from working within gamescope-session (noticed it with Warframe)

Should still work in desktop mode though, at least Warframe did

you gotta be shitting me. so that would explain why I couldn't for the life of me get FFVII Remake to calm down in Arch Linux. it was rendering at 120fps when set in-game, and trying to set the limiter did jack shit. Only way I was able to slow it down was to enable HDR.
