Jreadmes first, then there was a short time of just a docs directory with markdown files, no rendering, then we had /website repo with mkdocs-material, then moved to discourse once we were large enough to qualify for their OSS plan
Tdocumenting is hard when the target audience is split down the middle. tons of new linux users here but then there's like a good chunk of users who have been using linux for a long time and want a tiling window manager image
II have a hierarchy of durability/usability of different formats, and forums and discord are all the way at the bottom of both for various reasons.

Jmoderation of the forums isn't an issue, discourse is pretty great for that. Agree with discord, but bazzite using it for user support isn't up to me.

IWiki and static site are 50/50 at the top, have tradeoffs.

W@Kyle Gospo It seems so clear saying it out loud, but I don't think I realized that rebasing or setting up another deployment is just compiling it all on the side, so the error is an error of putting it all together. I'll start removing layers and see what happens.
KWhat you can do is save this so you can relayer your stuff, and then:

WI can do that. You'd expect that if that all worked out as planned that everything would be roughly back where it started? That is, no configs or other substantive system files should be that altered? (Assuming one of them isn't clearly just not playing nice.)

W@Kyle Gospo I reset layers, rebooted, rebased to :testing, rebooted. It default logged into Gnome xorg. I logged out and selected Gnome. Each time I put in my password, it sent me back to the gdm login where I'd put in my password and it would repeat. I switched to another tty and rebooted. Then it went straight to the terminal, no gdm. I was able to use startx there to get x11 to appear. But after rebooting and running "gdm" from the terminal, it went black and locked up. Felt like a similar black screen/lockup as was happening with :testing a day or two ago.
WI realize this isn't high priority, but not sure if that's a concerning bug or just something that might work itself out at some point, thought I'd share.
Eguys, i have a brand new rx 6800 coming tomorrow. im looking for a distro to use it with, i would like to use bazzite but unfortunately pluckeye isn't able to be used on it, and i definitely need pluckeye to work. im thinking about solus os, seems pretty up to date.
Eim not completely a noob, but i like hands off distros as much as i can
CMy install is missing the steam overlay for hdr framerate, etc
KHDR is provided by gamescope
KThe overlay is part of the GameScope session
