Mthat’s almost certainly going to be a patch issue, I haven’t started testing the new Gamescope patches and I’ve never seen anything like that.

Tthere's been discussion to ship 2 different gamescope versions due to several regressions with the recent refactor
Ti dont know if that would happen and it would be preferable if this was fixed upstream or patched

Myou don’t update the driver individually. They get updated with the entire image.

Mjust checking to understand how updating works, i saw HHD did an update on github but didnt get pushed on ally stable. i tried running the appimage from github but didnt work

KIs there a reason you want to do that? That was an old tweak for the original release of Steam OS, which shipped a Linux kernel with a bug that made SMT on slower
KGenerally turning it off should always be slower on a modern kernel
KAnyway, power tools should work the exact same way here

NIf I install the image with game mode why cant there be more than one account login?
KThe game mode image uses valve's session model
KWhich only supports one user, and assumes that user is named deck (but we fix that part)
Ofor desktop, is game mode or gamescope useful? I've not gotten a good sense of their use.

OStandalone session in what way? I'm catching up on the Linux world here. The last time I used it my gaming options were telnet.
