VDumb question but I have been debating on running bazzite on my steam deck as well. Are there any advantages for running it over the official steamOS?
CMore up to date system packages like the kernel, proper package management, you can use GNOME for the desktop mode
WI think the answers you'll get, might be a little biased on a Bazzite Discord 
OFaster updates, a layered system also means you can install system packages without them being wiped completely on the next system update (which allows for stuff like Waydroid), rollbacks allow for upgrades without the worry

VI mean yeah probably lol but no one would know bazzite on deck better than the people who actually use it and have a comparison of the two
OThe only real disadvantage of bazzite over steamos is that system upgrades can take a while (often portrayed by the update progress bar in big picture being stuck at 99%), but that's mainly a fault of rpm-ostree
CThe SteamOS-iness of SteamOS should be exactly the same

VI think I know what you mean, I tried building a HTPC and used bazzite for it but was having a ton of audio issues that couldn't be solved. But I remember the updates hanging pretty often like that
Othat's normal for rpm-ostree, the saving grace is that bazzite handles updates in the background automatically, so as long as you reboot every so often you'll be fine

WI don't think there is anything that you need to do, there is a thread here 🛟bazzite-helpSystem update failed. I think it's a key issue in github that the Bazzite/ublue team need to sort out.
CWell, Flatpaks and basically everything; Distrobox containers, firmware, even Firefox GNOME Theme - but that's more relevant for desktop use. If you dock your Deck to use it as a computer it's a much more robust base.
VI got a vacation coming up, so I'll probably load it up and try it while I'm out tbh
