JWhat would be the main difference between steamos and bazzite?
LUpdated Mesa and Kernel with a few QoL improvements like HHD and easy install scripts via the Bazzite Portal. There’s more but those comes to mind

LIn terms of Stability, I would say SteamOS and Bazzite are pretty close to the same. Bazzite has more flexibility if something WERE to go awry.

Awhere are the other places? i only know sometimes game save their setting inside cloud save so it will be restored
Adepend on the games, most modern one will have cloud saves and will restore it
Msome save it in the game files, like some goofy jp games create new files for every single progressed line of dialogue 
Mothers will be in the normal prefix docs folder or whatever
