SI've been using a 1080p monitor until last year, I use the default fonts, I don't understand this "eye pain" meme. Much like needing dark mode, your monitor is probably just calibrated wrong

CSomething neat I did today is matching the DPI in
xrdb -q to my actual monitor DPI through the GNOME Tweaks text scaleCIt's 96 DPI by default, my monitor is slightly lower density
CSo I set it to 0.97 in Tweaks and it's now 93, which is my real monitor density rounded up
CWould be a nice tweak to do on a laptop or a Steam Deck or something

RWayland now works great with Nvidia! Just two issues I am facing - some websites (such as Miro) lag a lot when moving around the canvas, and Chrome has some funniness where the window appears a few centimetres from the top of the screen, causing me to click the wrong buttons. The latter is fixed by un-maximising and maximising the window a few times

SI can definitely tell when things are below 100, but it isn't bothersome unless it's a really fast game or it's below 40ish

SI can run most things at 144 1080p max settings. Still haven't upgraded my monitor to 2k/4k bc then I'd have to lower the graphics
SImo fps is much more important than resolution
K1440p 120hz is about the high end for me, past that it's just 'meh okay whatever'
