HA little bit of imbalance can be tuned away, by some screws or something. And the motor will easily be able to counter the weight. But I want it to need little to no energy when left alone.

HAlready took a look at the 3D files and the instruction. The principle is easy. The execution is brilliant. Though I will modify the design a bit to mount it to the outer screws. Because the inner screws hold some cables and you need to open the whole throttle to tidy that up...... and I need a "quick-release" for helo flying. (or hurry the f up with my cyclic).....

Xsimilar situation in Simracing market, there are plenty of vendors, but only one provide best performance, mostly due to software. So same thing here, there might be a lot of competitors that does virtually same thing, but software rules them out

XMoza is pretty crap smracing company, it’s low tier, I don’t expect anything good from them,. Winwing - not sure, pretty sure they will have pretty bad software, but Chinese are good at copying
XI signed up originally for Rhino before I got printer, now as I get more in-depth into it, I would still love original Walmis creation, but DIY is more interesting/appealing to me since the purchase, not because of price or anything, just to be able to learn something new

Xthis project alone has taught me so much that even if I switch at some point to Rhino v2, I’m going to enclose first one built into plexi box for show off, kudos to everyone involved!
HDIYing the Rhino (with help of a kit) learned me so much and gave me so much ideas already…. That experience alone was worth it. And I completely agree - the software quality and support will make or break a great FFB product.

VHas anyone here switched from having an extension to just having a grip mounted directly on the Rhino? If so, any observations on what to expect (except maybe higher felt force due to shorter lever)?

BI think I lost almost half the felt nm when I added a 10cm extension, so if force is a big deal I recommend as little of an extension as possible. that said it's not weak yet by any means really.

VAbout the positioning, I'll move my base a bit upwards to compensate the lack of 20cm extension. I'm more interested to hear from anyone that flies helos has removing the extension resulted in having less precision in the controls?
When I flew with the VKB base with cams and springs, having longer lever helped in keeping the grip where I wanted. Now with the FFB, I've only flown with 20cm extension so I don't know how it behaves with just grip and the Rhino. Is it enough or is extension still recommended for flying helos?

BNah, even completely without an extension it has what is comparatively to other sticks a 10cm extension.
