HI can‘t help you in detail, since you are using a different sim than I do. But I would start with checking the axis bindings or anything related to pitch and roll. Delete any binding you don’t intend to use.
JI bought a motor for pedals and I've connected the usb and communications line from the motor to the controller card and plugged in power and usb. I'm connected based on the message at the bottom of the screen, but I dont see any position information coming from the motor. I must be missing something...any ideas?

Pit is not center aligned what can I do ?
HI think most people use some kind of extension, which in most cases can be rotated freely. Also with a center stick you usually want the grip in an angle towards your right hand to have an ergonomic wrist position. Of course I can’t tell how it works out for your needs, The only solution I can suggest is some kind of extension.

KYes, this is correct angle for a center mount.
DOn my Rhino, it's the same as yours. But you can turn your stick to suit your needs. In any case, validated with my Virpil Alpha.

HThe gimbal arm sides with the nuts in them must be on the faces with the motors and the cable outlet should face towards where the PCB is mounted.

TYep this is correct you can see in the pic above the correct orientation and yep this is correct how you said it.
OAny idea how to sort this. I’ve deleted all of my button settings. I’ve just downloaded some profile for it, but it’s not got anything other than the stick being central.
Sthe way the stick 'jumps' onscreen points to some other axis binding in msfs conflicting. what other peripherals are plugged in? also what aircraft is this? dont recognize it.

Scan i see your msfs controls settings in a few screenshots. also in telemffb, go to help menu, create support bundle, and paste that file here
OI’m out now, to be honest I don’t even know what telemffb is, I was hoping that it was just plug and play for the money.

TThe VP Force configurator is a “set up, calibrate, and Keybinds” software.
It does control the main effects but they are generalized.
Telemffb is the software you set the various effects “per game” and “per module”.
So you tell Telemffb you’re playing DCS and it pulls info from DCS while it’s running and using that data it produces “effects” that you can set the strength and intensity of.
Telem saves the profile and now everytime you fire up DCS and jump in the Jug (p-47) the screen on Telem says “DCS” and says what module your flying “p47” and it will play the effects, at the intensity, you previously set OR that are just streaming in from DCS.
I assume it’s somewhat similar for MSFS but I haven’t tried the Rhino with MSFS.
Others for sure have so it works I’m just trying to explain what and why you want to use both the configurator AND Telem and keep them both open while you play.

A+1 to what smitty said (and also -- the configurator is only the calibration/firmware settings app, it does NOT provide any effects, only allows you to set limits/calibrations/gain maps/firmware level button configurations. It does not need to be running as its settings gets stored into the device, assuming you press Store Settings, a 2nd step after using Apply Settings). Also MSFS is very different than DCS because MSFS does NOT have native FFB support. It only works through TelemFFB, but also has some setup/requirements steps (definitely refer to the TelemFFB manual for setting this up, if you're not very savvy with computers and hardware, MSFS is the hard mode relative to DCS and IL2 for force feedback)
