I am looking to see if you get the boing thing or its just me. This maneuver wouldnt be done in real life or in game for any reason so most people i have asked have never tried it to see if they get the same thing im experiencing. Also, adaptive recentering, do you think it would be helpful to have a slider to adjust what percent of spring strength it uses when active?

Mine does not do that at all, its goes past the center and them bounces back and forth until it centers. It is not as drastric as it sounds but can make using trim annoying.

but yeah, i think for the most part with telemffb -- i've turned down a bunch of effects, and added some stronger damping -- mostly because when i hold the force trim release, i like to make the stick have some resistance when i move it around

ok -- so been a while since i've flown warbirds in DCS, and in that time, telem had a big update and i think i yeeted all my previous settings around that time, so i've not really set anything up. I think the main thing i do, because i have all my configurator settings at mostly max level (to give myself the biggest range for effects), i just start a free flight with telemffb running, then just see how it feels to fly and turn things down or up as necessary

@walmis can you please help? My winwing adapter will not connect via the adapter. I have the F16xl by winwing. I think it's a problem in the adapter, it won't connect flush to the stick or the rhino. If I connect my thrustmaster stick with no adapter it's fine.

hi this is not nessasarily related to the rhino directly, I have been dealing with a "Kernal-Power" issue for some time now, that black screens my computer and foces restart, anyone deal with this here by any chance?

My pedal mod works but not properly, it still feels good it doesn’t reacts to stall and weapon vibration, but engine vibration works, spring and damper works too. I don’t know whether it is hardware issue or software issue,

Y axis deactivated, set to child instance as a pedals (2054), master gain 60, periodic effects 100, constant 100, spring 100, others 0 on setting page, spring 90, adaptive recentering activated on effects page.

As mentioned earlier - since some FFB works it is almost safe to say that it isn't a hardware issue. Can you post screenshots of your complete settings in VP configurator and TelemFFB for the Aircraft you wnat to try?

I would rather set master gain to 100% and reduce the individual effects if necessary. Maybe the gain for the particular effects you are missing is just too low.

Haven't spent much time with pedals in IL2 beyond the initial dynamic forces implementation.. however, looking at the effects code, it seems these two effects (buffeting / weapons) are hard coded to 0 degrees for IL2 with no user adjustable direction.. so... since pedals are the 90/270 axis, those effects won't be felt through the pedals.

I'll put it on my to-do list to fix

for weapon vibration I thought that because of Y axis is deactivated. since weapon (gun) vibration works for only Y axis with joystick. anyways it works nicely with joystick. Thanks anyway and will be waiting for next update

@Number481 am I right in thinking, regardless what I have the effects tab set in the configurator, if dcs has native ffb support it only uses whats available from the sim? 58 will only use whats avaible. 60 will use whats in the effects tab because it does not have support natively?

The effects tab simply starts the applicable effects on the joystick. Unless "sticky" is enabled, a given effect that is configured on that tab will be overridden when a game sends a FFB command to start said effect.

Disabling an effect checkbox on the effects tab does not disable that effect type, it just doesnt start said effect from configurator. Only setting a gain value on the settings tab will effectively disable an effect type (such that a game can't start one with any strength)

In my experience, DCS does nothing except Spring and Periodic. If you set a damper/friction/inertia effect in the effects tab, it should persist.

UH-60 is a community mod that does not implement FFB.

DCS sets its own spring effect=0 during startup (overriding what you may have set in the effects tab, unless "sticky"). If a module does not restart the effect, the stick will remain limp.

one of the reasons I put the damper/friction/inertia overrides in TelemFFB is so you can simply start what ammounts to a "sticky" effect on a per-aircraft basis. It will still be bound by the settings gain slider

Check your debug tab while DCS is running. The effects with black text are the active ones. Look for the damper effect. If it is grey text, DCS or something else stopped the effect you have set in configurator. Unless you have the damper override in TelemFFB set at %0 (which will actually override a sticky setting in configurator), enabling the sticky option will stop DCS from stopping the effect.
