Yes, we recommend that you reinstall rather than rebase when switching desktop environments

for an atomic OS like this, it might make sense to have a separate home partition that could be mostly untouched with re-installs

My home is it's own btrfs subvolume and is carried over from F40 (KDE spin). :shrug2:

I used it for my desktop pc and was having odd rendering issues in some apps like blender. I can't remeber the other issues.

Plasma 6 is still new and still has a few bugs so it may take a bit for it to get properly stable. Pretty sure this is why Debian based distros are still on Plasma 5.

...this isn't the first KDE...quirk. SDDM had a malfunction earlier this month on F40 proper where I would just get a black screen after I logged in if I had my second monitor plugged in

I sometimes wonder if AMD GPUs are kept alive by the Linux nerds and Germans. Nvidia is better on paper and windows.

If they hadn't pushed EGLStreams so hard and spent that effort getting an early start flushing out the corner cases and improvements needed to GBM like they are now from the start AMD would definitely be on the ropes.
