EI have tried this on two different displays via displayport, one is a 1440p170 Hz display and the other is a 1440p360 Hz display

KThen you should only need to enable the VRR option and set a frame limit

EAnd on either, if "enable external display refresh control" is on I get that extraneous 60 Hz slider that doesn't do anything coherent. But on Steam Deck's current OS version the slider controls refresh rate as expected and shows the correct minimum and maximum
Zis it not possible to install plasma themes on bazzite? I geep getting dependicy errors for alot of the global themes I have tried. it seems to fail when it tries to install a sddm theme?
Ksddm themes install to /usr in current versions of KDE, those need to be packaged as an RPM and layered to work
Kplasma themes can be installed to your home dir
Zah so I can't do global themes since that includes sddm themes
ZI'm achtaully surprised by how little I have had to layer onto bazzite. So far only kvantum, the windows button applet and portmaster. Thinking about it i really don't need a sddm them since i am using the deck image so I don't even see sddm

CI just rebased to a deck image and i dont have the return to gamemode(whatever its called) icon on desktop, how do i manually add it?

Steam Deck images have it disabled due to causing issues with MangoHud. It will be added back when these issues are resolved. You will have to rebase to the Unstable branch. More information can be found here.
