PThey introduced the open kernel drivers 2 years ago. The source is available on github, but the development is and will continue being closed. What changes is that there isn't a license conflict with the kernel anymore.
PIt's MIT+GPL2. Also they are offloading part of the driver to the onboard processor with a closed blob, of course.

YNo it does not and I don't think the dev is a huge fan of Linux or Steam so wouldn't hold my breath on it coming to Bazzite.
