AAgreed, game mode (gamescope-session) is the important part
KOn Windows, 16 bit apps don't run on 64 Bit OS, only on 32. But on Linux they run fine on 64
CUnfortunately other devices are very tentatively maintained within gamescope from what I hear

CGood question, I don't believe it makes a difference since it's not running the game loop in suspend

AI use the pause games decky plugin as an extra precaution
AIt freezes the game process before suspend, unfreezes it on resume
