I used it off and on since then (mid 90s), and around 2011 switched windows to only a vm with passthrough for games. Wasn't till about 4ish years ago that I dropped windows entirely. After all the work valve did with proton making it so I no longer needed to keep a windows vm around.

Is there a solution to input focus when you are trying to play a non-Steam game through Big Pic mode? If I run BP Mode and run a non-Steam game, I can play the game with my controller but Steam will interrupt constantly because the input is still focused on itself. This only happens in BP Mode. What am I doing wrong?

Is there a way to restore lockscreen hotkey functionality while in desktop mode running the ally image?
I had it working under Nobara but had to remove the steamdeck-kde-presets package as part of it. I've tried rpm-ostree override remove steamdeck-kde-presetsrpm-ostree override remove steamdeck-kde-presets but it doesn't seem to actually show up as removed in

make custom image where you remove a whole 1-2 files from /usr/etc/sddm.d//usr/etc/sddm.d/
because you have to break the steamos session management to do it, this also enables the normal login screen meaning you have to login every single time you use your ally
