Python Workers are in open beta.
You can currently only use built-in packages in local development. Support for deploying packages with a requirements.txt file is coming soon.

during the earlier part of the beta it wasn't restricted, I still have a worker up using the sqlite3 package for example (which is a package since it's not embedded in their wasm build by default), they restricted it after, I assume because of what they said in the github issue

current Python startup times with packages are long enough where we think cold starts would impact end-users regularly in a non-trivial way

The cold start times on that python worker w/ sqlite3 are indeed ouch, ~3-4s rn

Sounds like you're describing dynamic DNS basically. There's a good amount of tools/scripts out there that let you automatically update DNS records when your ip changes

Hi, I'm a startup and have built my app/api on CF. But, I have a specialized service where I deploy GPU servers with colocation in my local area (eastern US) for certain customers. Can anyone recommend a good colocation provider that has a good footprint in the US mainly but ideally has a good EU coverage as well. Can't seem to get a lot of the providers to even respond to sales requests / emails....
