LThat is exactly whats happening.
LIll try firing up DCS, starting TFFB and resetting the effects to see if that has any affect.
[It shouldn’t. If TFFB and DCS are not running there should be no effect on the rhino.

LWalmis was bang on, Yep, some how the effects had stuck and committed to the unit. Even after a reboot and zero software running it was vibrating constantly. Firing up DCS, and loading a module fixed it.

RWhat kind of curve in the vpforce software would allow a higher spring force in the center and taper off as you move the stick away from center. Say when trimmed flying helo with force trim enable in dcs or override. Or is this better accomplished with saturation
RCool. Will this work in dcs when using the dcs ffb solution or once it’s set I can uncheck spring effect again and it’ll work with any module that spring?
1You do not have to sticky it for the gain to work, I do this as well but with a steeper curve
RCool. What extension and grip are you using and what aircraft. I’m already using balance spring and adaptive recentering. However there is still some slop I want to tighten up completed how the real aircraft I’ve flown compares. Thanks.

1I have the thrustmaster metal grip on a 200mm ext so about as heavy as you can get, lol
1Took some tweaking and more so adapting, for helos though I’ve been overriding the trim and using a beeper trim also

I am about to get vpforce rhino ffb so I want to ask the community if vkb gunfighter mk iv grip works well with vpforce rhino. I read somewhere that vkp grip cannot attached very well to rhino axle and it won't fasten strongly enough and it will suffer from some play during heavy stick forces.
Is that true? I will not use any extensions.

AI have the older vkb connector, but I don't notice play or any difference between the adapter and the original vkb connector

Awell the adapter is kind of an extension by necessity
CNo you will be good with Mk IV. The Revision C connection is really nice. The Rhino adapter Walmis makes is high quality. Just make sure that you don't pinch the cable when installing.
JOk, I am trying to set the gain map for spring force, but everytime I do, the stick goes wild and the motors shut down. requiring a power cycle to bring them back online. any ideas here?
LNot sure why it is unexpected. Your inertia slider is @ 100% that's kind of extreme

NYour gain curve (in the video) is too extreme. That steep of a rise from center will lead to instability every time. BTW, you can hit the “reset motors” on the debug tab to recover from a motor fault without having to power cycle the Rhino.
JI believe walmis set this for me at some point. I was having some trouble in the past... Where should all of this be set?
NThe sliders dont really matter unless:
- you enable the corresponding effect in the effects tab (which you don’t)
- a game starts one of those effects (DCS does not use any of those effects)
- you enable the friction/damper/inertia overrides in TelemFFB.

JI can't put any amount of gain in this spring mapping. it goes bonkers regardless of the increase.
OHello , the Joystick VPforce app says "Force Trim Enabled but buttons not configured , using the hp160 helicopter and the hardware trim and msfs trim seem ok ? but that ! mark on msfs symbol and the error message What buttons arn't configured? Cheers. SOLVED : The buttons config in telemffb , not showing up when VP was also opened. closed VP software then was able to see and configure Trim reset and trim release buttons.

L* Well I'm right handed but if I even glance a picture of MCG it's clear to me that it can't be used with the left hand.

SI will just chime in re: left-handed MCG grip, other replies are already excellent. There is no official way of using the MCG in the left, but if you are really asking about modifications, then sure DIY this is quite plausible. It requires removing the right thumb's thumbstick area, which is electronically possible because of the separate PCB and JST plug. So doable, but not a beginner mod.
SRe: VKB adapter: anybody have issues with it getting stuck?

SAt first it had some rotation issues, but they were gone after tightening it up. However, so is the ability to detach it
AHi - Newbie here. Yesterday, I plugged in my new Rhino and tried to launch DCS (latest update 2.9.7.58923). Never had any trouble until yesterday. DCS just sits at the "15-Year" screen and won't go any further. When I unplug the Rhino, it launches perfectly fine. So, my hunch is that it has something to do with the way the Rhino is interfacing with DCS. Has anyone seen this and found a solution? I would be very grateful for any guidance. Thanks!
UPDATE: just got a message from DCS support team telling me that it probably has something to do with my Rhino and to make sure that my joystick drivers (Rhino firmware??? - I am already running 1.0.16) are updated and to disable the FFB in the driver settings (shouldn't FFB be ENABLED in DCS Misc menu?)

WHi, How is it connected to USB ? Hub, front, rear panel port ?
AIt's connected to a powered hub.
WTry using a direct connection to PC, some hubs are wonky
WHow many HID devices do you have running?
WProbably there's some resource conflict within the OS, hard to tell. I would go unplugging them one by one and see when DCS is able to enumerate the Rhino properly. How about replugging the Rhino USB with DCS running? DCS has hotplug support, it should detect the event and re-enumerate the Rhino.
